Heavy Equipment Technician Job Duties & Responsibilities:

EMSCO Heavy Equipment Technicians play a central role delivering value to our customers by providing the knowledge and expertise needed to repair or rebuild all types of heavy equipment. We are pleased to offer technicians jobs in our state-of-the-art service shops or working in the field from a well-equipped service truck. We are seeking full time interprovincial heavy-duty equipment techs to join the EMSCO family, and welcome applications from experienced, non-certified candidates who have a passion for the heavy equipment trade. Our shop is a busy place, and we also anticipate offering techs the option of coming in for some extra hours from time to time, should you want earn some overtime instead.

  • Troubleshoot and repair all makes and models of Heavy Equipment
  • Safely use electrical, hand tools, power tools.
  • Interact with customers, sales support, and the EMSCO team in a professional manner.
  • Work with the service supervisor and lead hand on various tasks as required.
  • Willingness to work overtime from time-to-time to meet customer needs and deadlines.
  • Possible shift rotation work depending on site.

Qualifications

  • Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
  • Experience on Hyundai, CAT, John Deere and/or Hitachi heavy equipment is preferred
  • Cummins engine certifications are nice to have
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated work habits.
  • Valid class 5 license, with a clean drivers abstract.
  • Strong focus on safety.
Wages from $42.00 to $65.00 per hour for well-qualified candidates, with wages dependent on experience.
